From the tasting room to the classroom, the Victoria International Wine Festival (VICWF) prides itself on helping wine consumers learn about the wine they’re drinking and what wine they’ll want to start drinking in the future.
Started in 2014, VICWF is an international wine tasting festival that showcases wines from all over the world, and all representing wineries are chosen by a panel of sommeliers. The wines chosen offer good value for the average consumer, meaning the excellent wines you taste at the show won’t break the bank when you decide to purchase a bottle for your next special occasion.
The show offers a tasting room, where all wine tastings are included in the value of the ticket. There are also seminars offered in between tasting times. If show attendees find something they enjoy, there’s an on-site liquor store where they can purchase those wines.
The show organizers suggest attendees dress in business or dress casual attire, and they also suggest wearing comfortable shoes to make strolling around the show and tasting room easier. Overly smelly personal products, like perfume, aftershave, cologne and hairspray, are discouraged.
The show runs Oct. 2 to 6 at the Victoria Conference Centre and tickets are now on sale. Visit vicwf.com for more information or for the link to purchase tickets. Tickets sell fast!
