If you’re looking for a sign that spring has officially arrived in the Fraser Valley, you’ll find it in Abbotsford — tucked among two acres of tulips, a whimsical forest trail and, this year, a giant teapot welcoming you in.
Maan Farms reopens March 27 for its annual Spring at the Farm, and the experience feels less like a flower field visit and more like stepping into a storybook.
The farm is home to Canada’s only tulip forest, where rows of blooms unfurl beneath towering trees. This season’s theme, Where Stories Steep, begins at a place of welcome marked by a teapot and teacups — a nod to the family’s cultural roots and the spirit of hospitality that defines the experience.
“They say that in every great story, there is a moment when you are invited to step out of your world and into another. In our family, that invitation begins with a cup of cha. Tea is the heartbeat of our cultural hospitality, representing warmth and connection,” says Amir Maan, farmer of Maan Farms.

Baby Animals & Easter Magic
Spring at the Farm kicks off with the always-popular Baby Animal Easter (BAE) Days, running March 27 to 29, April 3 to 6, and April 11 to 12. For nine days, visitors can meet newly born Highland cows, bunnies, chicks, ducklings, lambs, goats and piglets — a highlight for families (and anyone who melts at the sight of a shaggy calf).
Beyond the barnyard cuddles, there’s plenty of action. Guests can explore Barnyard Adventureland, try the tractor pull, climb the wall, race pedal trikes, bounce on jumping pillows, zip down slides, scramble over tire mountains or challenge each other to giant board games. Little ones can hop along with the Easter Bunny and search for treasures during the Golden Egg Hunt.
Dogs are welcome on selected dates, making it easy to turn the outing into a full family affair.

Sweet (& Savoury) Spring Treats
No visit to Maan Farms is complete without a stop at Mama Maan’s Country Kitchen, where seasonal indulgence is part of the ritual.
New this year is a Mini Egg Cheesecake Samosa — a playful mashup featuring creamy cheesecake filling and a warm melted chocolate mini egg centre, wrapped in crisp golden pastry.
“I create the way I did when I was younger when food felt like art. The childhood moments I had on the farm inspire what I make today,” says Gurleen Maan, Director of Fun at Maan Farms.
Returning favourites include the over-the-top Magical Tree Ice Cream: vanilla soft serve topped with festive sprinkles in a handcrafted milk chocolate tree trunk, crowned with green cotton candy, lemon mini donuts and carrot cake. For something savoury, there are butter chicken bowls, chickpea curry bowls, pizzas, butter chicken poutine and samosas — best enjoyed with a cup of cha or a glass of the farm’s tulip wine, Flora.

Plan Your Visit
Spring at the Farm runs daily from March 27 through tulip season in May. For timely updates, follow Maan Farms on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. BAE Day tickets and general Spring at the Farm tickets are available online, and high-resolution images can be downloaded for media use.
For a few weeks each year, Abbotsford trades grey skies for technicolour blooms, baby animals and the scent of fresh pastry. If spring in B.C. had a front porch, it would look a lot like this — teacups waiting, tulips stretching toward the sun, and a family ready to welcome you in.
