Video: In the field with bear biologists

While working on the Fall 2013 article “The secret lives of bears,” Victoria-based science writer Jude Isabella immersed herself in current research on B.C.’s black and grizzly bears. When the Raincoast Conservation Foundation invited her into the field to observe bear biologists in action, she leapt at the opportunity. In this short video, Isabella introduces viewers to the fascinating ways the scientists are investigating the relationship between coastal grizzlies and their primary food source, salmon.
