As the leaves turn golden and the air takes on that crisp autumn snap, Abbotsford is once again rolling out the welcome mat for food lovers near and far. The Taste of Abby Fall Food Festival returns for its fourth year, Sept. 19–28, 2025, promising 10 delicious days of community, creativity, and culinary magic.
A Night Market Under The Stars
The festival kicks off on Sept. 19 with a lively Night Market in Jubilee Park, right in the heart of Historic Downtown Abbotsford. Picture it: twinkling lights strung through the trees, live music drifting on the breeze, and stalls brimming with seasonal creations from local chefs, farmers, brewers, and vintners. You can sip on cider, sample harvest-inspired bites, and toast the season with Fraser Valley wines.
The evening also features the Food and Farm Awards, presented by Envision Financial, at 6:00 pm — a celebration of the people and businesses who keep Abbotsford’s food scene thriving.
Ten Days Of Flavour
After the market, the festival keeps the good times rolling with a series of unique events designed to showcase Abbotsford’s rich agricultural roots and culinary creativity:
- Longtable dinners set among autumn florals and even grazing horses — a true farm-to-table experience that looks like something straight out of a storybook.
- Movie Night at the Winery, pairing local wine with a cozy outdoor film screening beneath the stars.
- The playful “Taste the Thrill” restaurant contest, where visitors can dine around the city for a chance to win a skydiving adventure for two.
And for those who love a keepsake, don’t miss the Taste of Abby Fall Flavours Cookbook — a celebration of local recipes and stories that you can bring home with you.
Community Spirit, Hallmark Charm
For Tourism Abbotsford’s executive director Clare Seeley, the event is more than just a food festival.
“Taste of Abby celebrates what makes our community unique, including our agriculture. Harvest season is the perfect time to showcase everything our region has to offer… It feels authentic and collaborative, adding that small-town charm that brings everyone together. It’s just like a Hallmark movie.”
Rooted In Place
Abbotsford’s fertile Sumas and Matsqui Prairies have sustained life for over 10,000 years and continue to provide the bounty that feeds farmers’ markets, restaurants, and families today. The Taste of Abby festival is a chance to experience this agricultural legacy first-hand — where handmade and homegrown truly meet.
